Getting the Client Installers

Core Client and CLIMS Client installers are available on the Downloads page of the Open iT Server web interface.

This guide will walk you through downloading the appropriate client installer based on your system setup. Choose the method that best suits your setup.

Windows

1. On the supposed client machine, open a web browser and access the Open iT Server web interface.

2. Log in and go to the Downloads page.

3. Determine which client type you need — Core Client or CLIMS Client.

4. Under the appropriate client section, locate the Windows container then click Download.

Alternatively, you can use the commands to download and automatically run the installer file.

2. Copy the command under Installing on Windows?.

3. On the supposed client machine, open a command prompt with Administrator privileges.

4. Run the copied command.

Once downloaded, the installer will run automatically.

Unix

1. Open a web browser and access the Open iT Server web interface.

3. Determine which client type you need — Core Client or CLIMS Client.

4. Under the appropriate client section, locate the Linux container then click Download.

Alternatively, you can use the commands to download and automatically run the installer file.

macOS

Only Open iT Core Client is supported in macOS.

1. On the supposed client machine, open a web browser and access the Open iT Server web interface.

3. Under the Core Clients section, locate the MacOS container then click Download.

Alternatively, you can use the commands to download and automatically run the installer file.
