Data Labeling
The Data Labeling page allows users to update vendor licenses and application names by assigning descriptive labels for improved readability.
To navigate to the Data Labeling page:
- In the menu navigation pane of the Open iT Server web interface, expand Administration.
- Click Data Labeling.
The page is only available for users with administrator rights.
Data labeling is enabled by default for both real-time and historical reporting.
For real-time reporting, labels are applied approximately 5 minutes after configuration. For historical reporting, labels take effect the following day.
Data Loading
The data loading job is scheduled to run daily at midnight (0 0 * * *). If you have the necessary access rights or administrative privileges, you can manually trigger the job from the Jobs page to populate the data immediately.
To access the Jobs page:
- Open a web browser then access the jobs URL,
https://<server_name>:<port_number>/mappings/jobs
. - The Hangfire Dashboard will be displayed. Click the Recurring Jobs tab.
- In the list of recurring jobs, check process-factory-labels.
- Click Trigger now.
This job initiates the processing of the factory file, which contains commonly used vendor license and application names maintained by Open iT. When you access the Data Labeling page, the data is loaded, and you may notice that some items are already pre-labeled.
