Post-Installation Configuration
After installing the Open iT Core Client, some additional configuration may be required to enable data collection and ensure the client is fully functional. While certain components may be automatically configured during installation, others must be set up manually.
What to Expect After Installation
After installing the Open iT Core Client, the necessary services start automatically, and LicenseAnalyzer Auto Configurators are enabled by default. This ensures that supported license managers (i.e., Flexnet, DSLS, LM-X, LS-DYNA, RLM, and SlickEdit) can be detected and configured without additional setup in most cases.
Newly installed Core Clients may take up to 5 minutes to appear in the GUI after sending data to the server. If the client does not show up or expected data is missing after this period, verify that the client is properly configured and that its services are running.
Configuring Data Collection
To begin collecting and reporting data, you must configure at least one data source. This section provides quick access to the configuration guides for each supported Open iT application. Select the appropriate guide based on the data you want to collect:
- LicenseAnalyzer™
- ComputeAnalyzer™
- StorageAnalyzer™
