Autodesk Email Address to Username Mapping

Introduction​

The autodesk-email-to-user-name.map and autodesk-email-to-user-name-ad.map are used to map Autodesk user's email address to the username in the organization. Configure this mapping file to combine the LicPoll and Autodesk cloud data.

The autodesk-email-to-user-name-ad.map will be created from the Active Directory mapping source.

Configuring autodesk-email-to-user-name.map​

  1. Open autodesk-email-to-user-name.map in the Configuration directory, which is by default in C:\Program Files\OpeniT\Core\Configuration.

  2. Specify the username and email to map with the following syntax:

    Mapping Syntax
    MAP: <username>
    <email>

    Empty lines are allowed — any line beginning with # as the first non-whitespace character is considered a comment. Globbing is also supported, allowing you to use several globbing patterns; however, remember that they are slower than exact matches. To make your mapping files more effective and efficient, refer to Optimizing Rules to Speed Up Rename or Mapping.

    In the mapping file, entries are case-insensitive, meaning that capitalization variations, such as 'JSmith' and 'jsmith', will be recognized as identical. Also, note that leading and trailing spaces are removed from entries.

    This example maps liampeters@openit.com to liam.peters.

    You can also include custom configurations in this mapping file, such as default mapping, setting date limits on specific mapping entries, or creating nested maps.

  3. Save the changes.
