Email Alert Subscription

This functionality is based on the current web user permissions. If the current web user is the Analysis Server service account or is under a role with Email Alert Subscription Restriction enabled, the user will receive email alerts.

This requires a valid configuration of the Email Settings that will be used for sending email alerts.

Follow these instructions to add email alert subscriptions:

  1. In the upper-right corner of the portlet, click the icon.

    The email alert subscription dialog should appear.

  2. Provide a valid email address in the textbox.

  3. Click Add.

    Repeat this procedure to add multiple email addresses.

  4. Click the cross icon beside the added entry to remove an item.

  5. Click Save to continue.

    If the current web user is under a role with Email Alert Subscription > Self-subscription only enabled, follow these instructions to add email alert subscriptions:

  6. In the upper-right corner of the portlet, click the bell icon.

  7. The bell icon should turn into yellow color indicating that the user is subscribed.

The following configuration is essential to the Dashboard: Email Alert Subscription to work properly.
