CLIMS Alerts and Notifications
The Centralized License Integration and Management System (CLIMS) provides an alert and notification system for monitoring and managing licenses. These alerts inform administrators and users about critical events, including license server issues, license file changes, and license availability. Notifications are delivered through varying channels and can be customized based on roles and preferences.
The alerts and notifications provided by CLIMS are categorized into the following:
License Denials
Alerts administrators when a license request fails because the maximum number of allowed users has been reached. This alert provides details such as: User
, Feature
, Vendor
, Server
, and the reason associated with the license denial.
In this example, the email alert notifies that user jdelacruz was denied access to a feature under vendor artwork on server JDELACRUZ due to reaching the maximum licensed number of users.
License Modification
Notifies administrators when changes have been made to a license file. This provides details such as license file location
, update time
, server name
, comments, and other relevant information associated with the license modification.
In this example, the email alert notifies that the administrator has increased licenses for ACS5II from 0 to 100 and updated the expiry date to 01/06/2025.
License Modification (Locally)
Alerts administrators when license files are modified locally on the server. This alert provides details such as: License Server Name
, Vendor Name
, License File Path
, and modification details.
In this example, the email alert notifies that the license file RepriseLM\basic\license.lic on server hou2002lin was modified locally.
Revoked License
Notifies when a specific license has been revoked by an administrator. This alert provides details such as: License Server
, Vendor Name
, Feature
, and date and time associated with license revocation.
In this example, the alert shows that the license of feature stars_unlimited under vendor cmgl has been revoked on server hou2002lin.
License Server Down
Alerts administrators when a license server becomes unresponsive or goes down. This alert provides details such as: License Server Name
, Vendor Daemon Status
, and log details associated with the unresponsive license server.
In this example, the alert notifies the administrator that the license server lssle211win for vendor artwork has been down.
Vendor Daemon Down
Alerts when a specific vendor daemon becomes unresponsive on a license server. This alert provides details such as: License Manager Name
, Daemon status
, and information associated with the unresponsive vendor daemon.
In this example, the alert notifies the administrator that the vendor daemon artwork on server hou6741lin.hou.openit.local is down.
License Availability
Alerts administrators about the available license.
